COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course
introduces basic spreadsheet design and development. Topics include writing formulas, using
functions, enhancing spreadsheets, creating charts, and printing. Upon completion, student should be able to
design and print basic spreadsheets and charts.

print actual spreadsheet workbooks

workbooks

columns, rows and sheets

financial functions

hyperlinks and advanced functions

Build, edit,
create and adding design elements to workbooks

Work with
multiple worksheets and lists

Use and build
templates

Using auditing
tools and What-If analysis

Importing data

Notebook for notes and to keep assignments together
Flash Drive (Can be purchased at Bookstore or Wal-Mart)

7 Projects 30%
7 Unit Lessons .40%
24 Lessons ...30%
Grade Scale:
90 - 100 A
80 - 89 B
70 - 79 C
60 - 69 D
0 - 59 F
There is a tremendous amount of work to be
done in this class. Make sure you have your disks
and books with you at all times. If you
miss a class it will be your responsibility to come
outside of class to make it up, preferably before the next class meeting. My office hours are posted
at the end of this syllabus. The
computer lab will be open during these times for extra help or catch up time.
