COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces microcomputer applications related to the major accounting systems.  Topics include general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, payroll, and correcting, adjusting and closing entries.  Upon completion, students should be able to use a computer accounting package to solve accounting problems.

Prerequisite: ACC 115 or ACC 120

Corequisite: None

TEXTBOOK:  Integrated Accounting for Windows, by Klooster &  Allenm Fifth edition.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

n       Gain an understanding of basic accounting programs available.

n       Gain a working of these programs.

n       Use these programs to gain working knowledge of  working with all types of accounting problems

n       Gain a better knowledge of previously learned accounting material.

n       To under stand printing and hard copy of reports of these accounting packages.
