COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course provides a capstone course for the office professional.  Topics include administrative office procedures, imaging, communication techniques, ergonomics and equipment utilization.  Upon completion, students should be able to function proficiently in a changing office environment. At the discretion of the instructor, students will complete a 30–hour internship in an office environment

COURSE MANAGEMENT:

 

1.       Administrative Withdrawal:  Class attendance of 100 percent is expected. If absences exceed 20 percent (13 hours or 3 consecutive weeks), the student will be dropped from the class with a grade of F.

 

2.       Student Initiated Withdrawal:  A student may initiate withdrawal before midterm with a grade of W.  After midterm, the student will receive a grade of WF unless there is written proof of an extenuating circumstance.

 

3.       Students are required to complete all assignments. A written excuse accepted by the instructor is required for a make-up exam. If allowed, the make up EXAM will be given on the next school day.

 

4.       Each exam is                      10% = 60%

Project                                20% = 20%

Assignments/Quizzes           10% = 10%

Attendance                         10% = 10%
