Having fun raising support and awareness through Foundation Events
Our donor community is a diverse constituent base, much like our student body. We consider our reach much farther than Bladen County NC and our events are designed to touch a wide range of people in our broad community. Our largest event of the year was held in November on an evening with a beautiful White Lake sunset. We want to thank all of those who were a part of this great night, especially all of our sponsors and guests!
Join us for this family event! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a trip down memory lane. Introduce the sounds of Cash to a new generation. This is going to be a casual evening with some surprises during the show you won’t want to miss!
THANK YOU for being there for US! ~ BCC Ambassadors

Bladen Community College presents “An Evening with Kathryn and Charlie”
Mezzo-soprano Kathryn Findlen and pianist Charlie Magnone will return again this year to Bladen County and will present a program of vocal and piano works from the American Songbook. Their upcoming concert will include selections from Cole Porter to Stephen Sondheim in addition to piano classics by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.
Enthusiasts for American repertoire and collaboration with the contemporary composers behind the unique works they perform, Findlen and Magnone’s “emotionally powerful performance” (Austin American Statesmen) of Donnacha Dennehy’s, That The Night Come, was nominated for Best Symphonic Performance and awarded Best Vocal performance by the Austin Critic’s Table Awards.
Performance will be held in the sanctuary of the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church, 800 West Broad Street, Elizabethtown and will begin at 7:00 pm. A reception will follow the performance. This is a free concert.
On Friday afternoon, May 1, 2015, Ms. Findlen and Mr. Magnone will visit the Clarkton School of Discovery to do a school informance and presentation. A performance class will be given, working with music students from CSD. The repertoire styles that will be included will be Classical, Musical Theater and Pop (original or cover.) The performance class will culminate with a short music program for the entire school with pieces performed by both Findlen/Magnone and select students. The students, faculty, and staff will be the special guests at their performance that evening.
