BCC Welcomes Canine Companion Presentation
At 11 a.m. on Tues., Nov. 15, Bladen Community College will welcome Sarah Smith and her canine friend, Jester, for a presentation about the Canine Companion Program. The seminar will explore the positive impact of companion dogs for persons with exceptional needs.
Founded in 1975, Canine Companions is a national organization, serving people with disabilities across the United States. Ms. Smith will discuss Jester’s role in the public school system and the ways companion dogs bring comfort to individuals with unique needs.
The public is invited to this event in the Student Resource Center, building 7, on the Dublin BCC campus.
