BCC will honor Veterans with guest speaker David Clark
Bladen Community will honor men and women who have served the country in the armed forces during a Veteran’s Day presentation on Thursday, November 9, at 11 A.M. in the college
Retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major David L. Clark will address the assembly.
With 35 years of service, Command Sergeant Major Clark served in a variety of assignments around the world, including the 11th Airborne Division, Long Range Patrol Company, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), John F, Kennedy Institute for Military Assistance Specialized Techniques Training Department, 7th Special Forces Group, 10th Special Forces Group, 18th Airborne Corps Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force, and U.S. Central Command.
He received the Distinguished Member of the Special Forces Regiment recognition in 2003.
Included among other awards and recognitions are the Distinguished Service Medal, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachutist and Master Parachutist Badge, HALO and HALO Jumpmaster Badge, Combat Diver Badge, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with palm, and parachutist badges
from 13 foreign countries.
As part of the Veteran’s Day tribute, attendees can enjoy an exhibit of military artifacts and memorabilia.
