Benjamin "B.J."Lacy, Jr Memorial Scholarship

BENJAMIN "B.J." LACY, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The members of First Baptist Church of Bladenboro established the Benjamin "B.J." Lacy, Jr. Memorial Scholarship in honor of his faithful service of forty years as a Deacon of First Baptist and as a member of the College Board of Trustees for twelve years. Students must meet the following criteria:
1. Priority of the Scholarship will be to minorities.
2. The student must be a second year student with a GPA of 3.00 or better.
3. The student must be active in Community Services.
4. The student must have a letter of recommendation submitted by the Pastor of the student's local church.
5. Be present for Interview by the Scholarship Committee.
6. The Recipient must agree to attend a worship service conducted by First Baptist Church to express the impact of the Scholarship on his or her educational goals.
7. First Baptist will award the Scholarship each year to further the students at Bladen Community College. The Scholarship Committee and First Baptist will decide upon the recipient.

The Scholarship is for $500. It will be distributed in the Fall and Spring.
