BLADEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION, INC.PURPOSE

The Bladen Community College Foundation, Incorporated is a non-profit corporation chartered in 1975 under the laws of North Carolina. The BCC Foundation is organized and operated for the sole purpose of promoting educational programs, services, and activities to further the mission/purpose of Bladen Community College

 EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Bladen Community College Foundation Executive Board of Directors has total control of the Foundation including decisions concerning the expenditure of funds. The Executive Board of Directors is composed of an Executive Director who is an employee of the College, the College President, the College Vice President of Administrative and Fiscal Affairs , the Chairman of the College Board of Trustees, one additional member of the Board of Trustees, and ten at-large members who are elected by the Foundation membership.
 

SOLICITATION, INVESTMENTS, EXPENDITURES

Aggressive solicitation, competition with other worthwhile causes, or hard-sell programs of giving are contrary to the purpose and spirit of the BCC Foundation. Voluntary gifts are encouraged and appreciated. Income that is contributed or earned from Foundation investments is used to generate financing or for partial financing of student financial aid, student life enrichment activities, to purchase instructional equipment, to construct or repair physical facilities, and other similar uses to promote student welfare and support academic programs and services of the College. All expenditures are approved by the Foundation Executive Board of Directors, and Foundation funds are accounted for separately from other local, state, or federal funds and are closely audited by state auditors on an annual basis.
 
CONTRIBUTIONS
Contributions may be made by making check's payable to the Bladen Community College Foundation, Incorporated.
