Distance Learning Technical Support Teaching Assistant Bladen Community College is accepting applications for a full-time (12 month) Distance Learning Technical Support Teaching Assistant. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, with one to three years experience in a related technology/education field, education/training in business, or educational technology experience preferred. Essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to: acting as coordinator, scheduler, and facilitator for Interactive TV classes in three active rooms; maintaining the Blackboard server and courseware system with duties including but not limited to loading new courses, copying existing courses over, archiving courses, troubleshooting, server maintenance and purging user files on a set schedule; troubleshooting connectivity issues pertaining to distance program (I-TV, Blackboard, etc); assists students and faculty with Blackboard technical issues; participates in necessary training to remain current in needed technology; all other duties as assigned. INSTRUCTORS: The Continuing Education Department is continually seeking qualified instructors for part-time employment. We offer a wide variety of courses that are tied to specific skill sets such as nursing assistant, office skills, emergency services, and human resource development, just to name a few. As a minimum, an associates degree or higher is required to instruct most courses, however strong work experience, skills, or specific certifications may be sufficient for certain classes. Those interested in part-time instruction should complete an application for employment, including an unofficial copy of transcripts and /or certifications, and return it to our personnel department. Positions are filled on an as-needed basis from the pool of qualified applicants. |

INSTRUCTORS: The Basic Skills Department in
Continuing Education is continually seeking qualified instructors for
part-time employment. We seek instructors for GED, Adult Basic Education,
Adult High School, and Compensatory Education. We also need substitute
instructors in each of these areas. As a minimum, a bachelors degree
is required for all lead instructor positions and an associates degree
or higher is required for substitutes. Work experience in education,
instruction, or with adult learners is preferred. Those interested in
