Bladen Community College Receives Hurricane Emergency Funds for Students

Bladen Community College is one of 21 community colleges in the state to receive emergency funding for students impacted by Hurricane Florence.

The State Board of Community Colleges approved the allocation of $5 million to help students affected by Hurricane Florence. The funding was made possible by the General Assembly in a special session in late October.  Of the $5 million, $4.9 million will be allocated for emergency grants to help students at 21 community colleges serving federally designated disaster counties, and $100,000 will be used by the NC Community College System Office for emergency grants for other eligible students.
