| James R. and Gladys Stroud Powell Scholarship |
| This scholarship is given by the family
of James R. Powell, a member of the College Board of Trustees before his
death. Selection is based upon the following criteria:
1. Demonstrate academic achievement as evidenced by placement test scores. 2. Be present for interview by the Scholarship Committee. 3. Maintain status as a full time student with a GPA of 3.000 or better. The number and amount of the scholarship will be based upon interest income generated from the principal of the Powell Fund, but the usual amount is $500.00 per academic year with payments of $ 250.00 for fall and $250.00 for spring being made. |
