Local Regional Author to Speak at Bladen Community College
Bladen Community College invites the public to hear a local regional, guest author, Dr. Chuck Tryon, speak on Social Media and Civic Engagement on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 11 A.M. in the Student Resource Center. This presentation will explore how social media tools have and continue to be used to influence public policy. Through examples of successful social media campaigns, Dr. Tryon will provide an overview of social media strategies, and how those tools can be used for engagement. The audience will examine the limits of online tools, while also learning how varying strategies can help promote engagement with others.
The event is free and open to the public. This program is a part of the Writers Series at Bladen Community College and is made possible by a grant from the NC Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities and BCC.
