Bladen Community College has announced that the North Carolina Space Grant, sponsored through the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Community College Aerospace Scholars program (NCAS) is now open for applications through November 16.

NCAS gives community college students enrolled in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology (STEM) curricula an authentic NASA experience, encouraging students to finish a 2-year degree or transfer to a 4-year university to pursue a NASA-related field or career.

Eligible students must be United States citizens, high school graduates or equivalents, 18 years of age, registered at a U.S. community college in the semester prior to the onsite workshop, and have concurrent enrollment in or completion of nine or more hours of STEM coursework. Additionally, students should have internet access and the ability to commit to five weeks of online sessions.
