Early fall registration underway
Source Date: May 23, 2012
Early fall registration is in full swing this week at Bladen Community College. The three-day early registration period is set aside to give current BCC students an opportunity to register for fall classes before registration is open to new students.
According to Dean of Enrollment Barry Priest, more than 350 students had taken advantage of this special opportunity to enroll for fall classes by Wednesday afternoon.
Early fall registration in May began last year to allow current students to register before their faculty advisors go on summer break. The process is not only beneficial to returning students, but to faculty and some staff members as well, because it spreads the registration workload.
Priest encourages all current students to take advantage of this opportunity to register when wait times are minimal. It gives students more time to sit down with their counselors to determine what avenues will best suit their individual situations.
