RETENTION AND DISPOSAL OF RECORDS
Permanent record files of curriculum students are kept in the Student Services Office which provides maximum safety against fire, theft, destruction, and other hazards. The College will review records periodically and remove unnecessary and outdated information when the student completes his/her program of study. When information from the student record is declared outdated and obsolete, it shall be removed and destroyed. Material which is considered permanent shall remain in the record file.

The student's inactive permanent record file contains the following: application; admission transcripts; placement test results; and Family Rights and Privacy form. Transcripts of Bladen Community College credits are microfilmed on an annual basis.
