This scholarship is preferably for students enrolled in the Allied Health curriculum at Bladen Community College.  If no student enrolled within the Allied Health curriculum is found, then it will be left to the discretion of the Scholarship Committee to select an otherwise qualified student.

To qualify as a recipient for the Jeffrey and Susan Kornegay Endowed Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be enrolled as a full-time student.

• Submit a scholarship application.

• Be a motivated, capable learner who has demonstrated economic need.

• Submit an essay stating why they have chosen the field of study and how the scholarship will help them attain their educational goal.

• Be actively involved in a faith of their choice with active church attendance.

• Maintain a 2.5 grade point average.

• Continue enrollment for the duration of the scholarship.

Preference will be given to a student who is enrolled in the Allied Health Curriculum.  If there is no applicant who meets this criteria, then it will be left to the discretion of the Scholarship Committee to select an otherwise qualified student.
