Supporting Student Success
Bladen Community College is dedicated to delivering a great education, but we also desire to share the best overall experience possible for each of our students. This would not be possible without the gifts of our very generous alumni and friends. In the past donor gifts have gone towards scholarships and emergency financial assistance to our students. Future gifts will be put towards these same efforts as well as expanding opportunities to faculty and community events. We ask that you will please consider giving a gift to Bladen Community College Foundation to allow us to continue to give the students the very best education and overall experience possible.
Bladen Community College Foundation offers many opportunities and avenues in which to invest in the future of the college. Here you will find answers to many general questions you may have as well as find our who we are, whom we serve, what we are doing, and ways you can help.
Ways to Give
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
These scholarships are fully endowed which means that only the interest that the contribution earns are available to spend annually toward scholarships. A minimum of $10,000 is necessary to permanently endow a scholarship.
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS
For many years now area clubs, civic organizations and individuals in the community have supported BCC through annual scholarship contributions. These funds are set aside specifically for scholarships to be issued in the current or next academic year/scholarship cycle.
MEMORIAL/HONORARIUM GIFTS
These gifts are a very special way to memorialize a loved one’s memory or to mark a special occasion. Memorials and honorariums are truly a gift to be cherished and a very fitting way to remember and honor a family member or friend.
FOUNDATION GENERAL FUND
Many friends of Bladen Community College have chosen to make donations to the foundations general fund. These gifts have funded activities and scholarships such as the Ambassador Scholarship, Foundation Merit Scholarship as well as other projects.

A wonderful way for a family member, spouse or friend to contribute with their employer matching their contribution! There are over 760 small and large corporations across the country that offers employees a matching gift program. A listing can be found on our website.
OTHER GIFTS
Other gift options such as planned gifts or naming opportunities give donors still other ways to help local students and create a giving legacy.

Mission Statement
The BCC Foundation was created to provide financial support to BCC, beyond that which can be obtained through state and local allocated funds. Such funds never meet all the needs for scholarships, and cultural opportunities. Because of these limitations, the foundation needs to look for private donor support.
