ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR ALLIED HEALTH PROGRAMS
Bladen Community College is now accepting applications for a full-time (12 month) Administrative Assistant for Allied Health Programs. The person is responsible for managing correspondence, maintaining records; process leave and travel; scheduling appointments and providing information required by state and college officials. The person is responsible for data entry of information, vital statistics, and requisitions.
The qualifications for this job include an Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from an accredited institution in office systems technology or related field with medical knowledge or understanding of the complexities of healthcare across the allied health spectrum; with one to three years administrative experience; excellent grammar, and strong computer skills. Datatel experience preferred.

Bladen Community College is now accepting applications for a full time Maintenance Technician. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED; with five to seven years’ experience in maintenance.
Essential job duties include: ability to perform general electrical and plumbing duties; ability to provide upkeep of facilities and grounds; landscaping; general maintaining of equipment; and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Writing Center Tutor
Bladen Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Writing Center Tutor (grant-funded). Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in English. Preference will be given to applicants with a master’s degree. All degrees must be from an accredited institution. Successful experience in writing centers and/or teaching experience in the English field is preferred.
Duties include tutoring, visiting classes and giving short presentations, giving workshops training new tutors, finding resources, updating the Writing Center webpage, marketing the Writing Center, and performing related duties.
The position will begin August 15, 2017
English as a Second Language Instructor
Bladen Community College is now accepting applications for a part-time English as a second language (ESL) instructor. Applicants must have a bachelor degree. Ability to speak Spanish and experience in teaching is preferred.
Duties include teaching English language acquisition and integrated English literacy concepts and skills, preparing course materials and class lectures, keeping records, recruiting, and performing related duties.
Bladen Community College is accepting applications for an adjunct accounting instructor (part-time employment). Applicants must have a master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field from an accredited institution (18 graduate hours must be in accounting). Accounting work related experience is preferred, as well as previous online and community college teaching experience.
Duties include teaching accounting and other related business courses, preparing course materials, organizing classes, labs, keeping records, advising students, assisting with college activities, and performing other related duties.
Part-Time Machining/Industrial Systems Technology Instructor
Bladen Community College is now accepting applications for a part time Machining/ Industrial Systems Technology instructor. Applicants must have an associate of applied science degree in Machining, Industrial Systems Technology or related field and three years of demonstrated machining and industrial systems experience. It is required that individuals applying for this position have manual and CNC machining experience.
Duties include teaching machining and industrial systems concepts and skills, preparing course materials, organizing class lectures and utilizing smart room capabilities, preparing shop activities, keeping records, maintaining clean and orderly facilities, assisting with school activities, recruiting, and performing related duties.
We welcome applications for part-time positions. An applicant pool will be kept for part-time positions for one year.

CONTINUING EDUCATION INSTRUCTORS:
The Continuing Education Department is continually seeking qualified instructors for part-time employment. We offer a wide variety of courses that are tied to specific skill sets such as nursing assistant, office skills, emergency services, and human resource development, just to name a few. As a minimum, an associates degree or higher is required to instruct most courses, however strong work experience, skills, or specific certifications may be sufficient for certain classes. Those interested in part-time instruction should complete an application for employment, including an unofficial copy of transcripts and /or certifications, and return it to our personnel department. Positions are filled on an as-needed basis from the pool of qualified applicants.
BASIC SKILLS INSTRUCTORS:
The Basic Skills Department in Continuing Education is continually seeking qualified instructors for part-time employment. We seek instructors for GED, Adult Basic Education, Adult High School, and Compensatory Education. We also need substitute instructors in each of these areas. As a minimum, a bachelors degree is required for all lead instructor positions and an associates degree or higher is required for substitutes. Work experience in education, instruction, or with adult learners is preferred.
