BOOKSTORE ACCOUNTANT / CENTRAL SERVICES MANAGER
Bladen Community College is now accepting applications for a full-time (12 month) Bookstore Accountant / Central Services Manager. An associate’s degree from a two-year College or technical school, four year degree in business or related field preferred. One year relevant experience and/or training.
Essential job duties include: Perform point of sale functions, using Booklog software, to include but not limited to purchasing/receiving, book returns; inventory and price/scan of textbooks and supplies for resale in the bookstore; provide sales/customer service on a daily basis; preparation of all monthly; quarterly; and annual reports of the bookstore inventory; stock incoming inventory; process print requests and incoming shipments; other duties as assigned.
Part-Time Machining/Industrial Systems Technology Instructor
Bladen Community College is now accepting applications for a part time Machining/ Industrial Systems Technology instructor. Applicants must have an associate of applied science degree in Machining, Industrial Systems Technology or related field and three years of demonstrated machining and industrial systems experience. It is required that individuals applying for this position have manual and CNC machining experience.
Duties include teaching machining and industrial systems concepts and skills, preparing course materials, organizing class lectures and utilizing smart room capabilities, preparing shop activities, keeping records, maintaining clean and orderly facilities, assisting with school activities, recruiting, and performing related duties.
We welcome applications for part-time positions. An applicant pool will be kept for part-time positions for one year.
Bladen Community College is currently receiving applications for curriculum adjunct faculty positions.
Most positions require a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the subject area. Some courses are delivered online.

All these positions require current certification in the field with an associate’s degree or higher preferred.
CONTINUING EDUCATION INSTRUCTORS:
The Continuing Education Department is continually seeking qualified instructors for part-time employment. We offer a wide variety of courses that are tied to specific skill sets such as nursing assistant, office skills, emergency services, and human resource development, just to name a few. As a minimum, an associates degree or higher is required to instruct most courses, however strong work experience, skills, or specific certifications may be sufficient for certain classes. Those interested in part-time instruction should complete an application for employment, including an unofficial copy of transcripts and /or certifications, and return it to our personnel department. Positions are filled on an as-needed basis from the pool of qualified applicants.
BASIC SKILLS INSTRUCTORS:
The Basic Skills Department in Continuing Education is continually seeking qualified instructors for part-time employment. We seek instructors for GED, Adult Basic Education, Adult High School, and Compensatory Education. We also need substitute instructors in each of these areas. As a minimum, a bachelors degree is required for all lead instructor positions and an associates degree or higher is required for substitutes. Work experience in education, instruction, or with adult learners is preferred.
