The Dr. William C. Keith Scholarship has been established to honor the memory of Dr. Keith, a retired dentist and former mayor of Elizabethtown, who served for ten years as the first Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bladen Technical College which is now Bladen Community College.

Eligibility for this scholarship is based on the following criteria:

• Complete a scholarship application.

• Attain and maintain a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0.

• Be a resident of Bladen County.

• Be a full time student in a course of study leading to a Technical degree, Vocational degree, or college transfer.

The candidate shall be selected and the scholarship awarded without regard to the race, sex, color, creed, religious preference, age, national origin or handicap of each candidate. The recipient of the scholarship shall be selected from candidates meeting the above criteria by the Bladen Community College Financial Aid Scholarship Committee.
